It looks well made, how easy was it to fit and how does it sound?
Post 800878 by Robbin Houses on 2016-05-13 07:37:08
I had the original system on so needed to cut it off, or you would have to swing the rear axle down. But pretty standard exhaust swap!! Bit louder then the standard exhaust at idle, but when you give it some beans it roars!!

Looks cracking. You want to speak to Don about an mte map once you get a 3" dp.
Totally transforms the car.
I want another R badly. :(

Wheres the best place to get 3" down pipe? Im impressed at how much response ive got from putting the new catback on...saying that the old one was blowing like hell!!

Ferritta do one which is a lovely bit of kit as you will of seen with your cat back.
a Guy called Graeme Welch used to make them on here (you might see a gwe dp advertised from time to time) but I've heard conflicting reviews on the fit of the dp.
Don might be worth speaking to but I'm sure they were £600 last time I checked.
I had exactly the same on my V70r, the exhaust was awful so I changed it for a Jetex Duplex which highlighted how rotten my original was, within weeks it blew my cat & dp to bits. Absolute nightmare job on an awd. Never again!
Mine had 3" dp, sports cat 200 cel & the 2.5" system & with the map I managed 272bhp on white injectors which yours will already have. You don't say if its a manual or auto, if its man then you have an 18t turbo & should get a fair bit more power with a stage 2 map. Mine was a 16t which the t5's are fitted as standard (so are the auto R's).
hope this helps.

Yeah mines an auto, Don did say the DPs are £600 but was wondering if theres any other types available, do you know if theres a decat pipe available? Was thinking intercooler next but now might be swaying towards the DP. Also is there much benefit to get a dump valve instead of the standard recirc valve

No mate you want to avoid dump valves, get yourself a re-circ blanking plate & a 10mm ratchet spanner with a pivoting head to fit the bugger. Its a bit awkward to get to but you will have glorious wastegate chatter. If you do want a dump valve for the pitissssh then you need a forge twin piston but I'd do the plate first & see what you think. They are about £15 off fleabay.
You will need to go custom on the de-cat, I don't know of any off the shelf but again that should be cheap ( I've paid £60 for previous cars). Someone may correct me on that.
The intercooler will be fine (if its not split) for up to 300bhp but you will probably need a manual conversion before then as the auto boxes aren't a fan of serious horses.

Yes dp, decat & a map should get you nearer but for 300 you'll need a bigger turbo, injectors & the jedi force.

Use Volvo bump stops & strut tops & they will be fine. :)

I read some where about leaving the rear spring adjuster out so you can get the back end lower? Trying to organise a day i can get it in at work to put them on!!
Post 801431 by Biff on 2016-05-27 09:00:37
Yeah mine had the adjuster left out.
It wouldn't go much lower than this...

So was on my way to Goodwood yesterday when i heard a hissing noise from under the bonnet...had a look and its just a loose jubilee clip, go to tighten it up and the hole top hose comes off in my hand!! The top hose inlet/outlet has come away from the rad!!!
Any one know where i can get the oil pipe clips from? Mine are looking a bit worse for wear!!!

Great combo.

Mine is sat so that the very top of the tyres aren't visible but I have no reason to think that she has been lowered than standard tbh.
