Hi all my name is John. I have owned my T5 for 3 months still trying to fix running problems. I've had new fuel pump fitted as starting was an issue. Now it cuts out around roundabouts and right turns. This has surely something to do with the refitting of new pump by the bloody garage. Bought new leads, plugs, dizzy cap, rotar arm, coil and lastly Forge recirculating valve. It still has an oil leak at back of engine "to be fixed". Water leak started this week in passenger footwell "advice welcomed". Regards and thanks for reading

Fuel pump relay or fuel filter possibly?

I would imagine the water leak in the footwell will be coming from a leaking heater matrix if you haven't already check to see if the water has antifreeze or coolant in it you can tell if it has because it will have a sweet smell to it or if you need to get some on your finger and taste it to see if it has a sweet taste to it (doesn't taste very nice mind) if it has it will almost definitely be the matrix I just replaced mine yesterday it's fairly easy to do just a bit fiddly and messy if you don't catch the coolant when you remove it

Welcome along....as above, water in foot well most likely a blown heater matrix - but do check the scuttle panel drain offs [below windscreen] to make sure they're not blocked which can cause water to run down the firewall & track back into the cabin. That goes for all the drain points really - sunroof ones in particular if you have one. Oil from the back of the engine is normally turbo related - either the turbo itself or the oil return pipe. Sounds like changing the fuel filter & flushing the system sounds like an idea & do check the relay - they are known weak points. Good luck with the car & get some photos up! Cheers, morgan
