Ok folks I've just been given the go ahead for a beaulieu Volvo meet, it will be next year in a dead time.
Sounds good, i'll be up for that! Gonna try and make more of an effort to get to more meets next year.
Where is this
Abdul it's the national motor museum in the new forest, Hampshire. It's a really good day out actually plenty to see ill be up for this one if my Volvo's back on the road by the time of the meet
This and the two ace cafe meets will be what I'm planing this year, the new cars will be some love and possibly a brooklands museum meet??? Then back to Gothenburg / Ghent factories.
Ok so it's confirmed with beaulieu and just finessing the dates, they have offered a weekend event of we would like this. Can accommodate upto 2000 cars and tickets will be reduced to £13.00 adult and £7.50 child (I'd take that as an approx incase prices change)
Count me in....
I'm up for this :)
Im up for this
book me in
Will do, can't do much until after Xmas now
I did Simply Jap this year, in the MX5, and Simply Ford previously in the Cougar, it's a great day out.
It's the 17th September will update later on
Ok it's been agreed that the 17th September will be the date of the meet. Tickets will be available online and I will update this thread with the link (remember no ticket no meet). Tickets are reduced to £13 adults and £7.50 child (£24 norm adult price) I have arranged the hard standing / show area and a tent is permitted (for those in forum admin). It's located in an excellent situation between the museum and topgear exhibit. Cars are parked at own risk etc and no silly driving please. There maybe a few caravans driving onsite in the morning, please be patient as stewards will direct traffic as they are difficult to manoeuvre through the entrance.
Am I still welcome to this? or is there an issue?
Am I still welcome to this? or is there an issue?
No issue love to see any Volvo driver, really got us a top class spot.
I've started a Facebook page for Volvo-ist's which will have the info of future meets, I will post up details of current meets that are under way, all are welcome. We have Dyno days, Beaulieu, and an epic Gothenburg trip coming!
Both my kids were born on the 17th so looks like we'll be going to Beaulieu for their Birthdays!
Both the 17th September? What are the changes of that
It's in my diary. Thanks Steve.
Both the 17th September? What are the changes of that
Yeah I know!
Hudson has an unusual birthday 11/12/13 which is easy to remember
I don't think it's gonna be practical to convoy down for me. I think most locals are coming form Soton so may as well go from there down the m3
