Seeing that for some reason I keep being drawn to 400 series', I've decided to do something a bit special with one.
I've found a fairly mint 460 in white, so have decided to have a bash at something that's been niggling me for a long time now - a T4 conversion.
Most will call me an idiot for attempting this, but I think it'll be something pretty unique if I can pull it off, as far as I know it's never been done. Not in the UK anyway.
There was a 480 in Poland I think, but that just disappeared of the face of the planet when nearly complete.
Also, the maths speak volumes:
A fully specced 460 weighs in at 1100kg, a good 200kg lighter than an X40.
If I can run at around 250-260bhp I'll have a power to weight ratio of around 225bhp to the tonne.
Should be exciting :)
This is still firmly in the planning phase, trying to figure out whether to go for a P1 or 2 for all my bits.
This will be pretty slow burning, as I've got loads on at the moment.
At some point over the next few months I'll start looking for a crashed/rotton S/V40 to donate it's heart.
For now, here's a couple of pics from the seller's ad:
Should look pretty good parked up next to The Black Shark ;)
Cheers for looking, next update - probably Christmas.
Oh, it's got a name: The White Widowmaker.
Probably going to be quite appropriate, as it'll probably kill me in a comedy fireball

 I like the backdrop for the advert - do you reckon that is really the guy's house? Or just after the photo was he chased down the drive to cries of 'Smithers! Release the hounds!!'

Good luck. From the photos, it looks like a tidy car.

Picked the car up last weekend.
Not quite as mint as I'd hoped.
The rear arches have been done before. There's a lot of filler, with a crack on one side. Will need further investigation, before I decide where to go from here.
On a positive note, the car drives spot on and managed the trip from London without a hiccup. Suppose it should do really, having only done 43k.
Probably the furthest it's been driven in one hit in years, according to the MOT history it only did a few hundred miles between the last few.
When I dropped it at Craig's in Wigan, he commented how quiet it was.
(It's staying at his until I get the logbook back to tax it, or I can figure out how to get it on my drive without the missus noticing!)
Almost seems a shame to rip its heart out.
Still gonna happen though!
Erm... That's about it

FFS i don't think there are any left with decent arches. Except for Raymundo. Did you use those finest Polish panels? Still got this speedo sensor here with a car attached...

Nope.
Still wrapped in the finest Polish cling film they were posted in
Also still have the Skandix ones is the biggest box there has ever been. Seriously, I could make a fort out of it.
Keeping them to maybe go on Ray eventually, as they've started to let go.
Wouldn't have thought they'd be any use on The Widowmaker, as they've probably been filled too far up.

Cheers.
That's what made me decide to keep this one tbh.
It does need some bodywork though.
The rear arches have been filled to death and the back end of the cills are very poorly, but that's all par the course with 400s.
Seriously, how is it possible for a 43k mile car to be rotton?
Anyone would think it was an old Ford!
