Anyone out there with a d5 engine got any suggestions on what I can do to improve torque values and gain a quicker pull from 30+. It's already remapped to 215bhp from 185 and guessing it has around 430n/m torque but want to improve both acceleration and pull. Tia Craig

How much you got to spend?? Next step is a turbo upgrade, intercooler upgrade, full exhaust system, and a custom remap.

I'll upgrade as possibly and where would be best place to source turbos and such as whenever I've looked it's a hybrid turbo upgrade or intercooler has to be custom therefore carrying a price

It's all going to be custom. These aren't really the diesel tuners choice so bolt on parts are few and far between. I'd stick with what you have or buy a faster car.

Are you sure your car is running correctly now? 215bhp and all that torque shouldn't feel too slow at all.

I think it's 215 and 440nm just want something a little quicker but can't afford a faster car due to insurance purpose's as I'm only 23

Clutch will take a hammering depending on the torque delivery!

My 2008 V70 D5 185 has the polestar remap and is automatic. I struggle to get the power down without wheelspin in 1st and 2nd as the box changes up. Its fine at higher speeds and has loads of torque but I doubt the drive train could cope with a lot more without getting lots of torque steer. I would say its as quick as my 3.2 V6 petrol C class merc and a lot heavier. Also I hate to bring the subject up but these mods should be notified to your insurance to guarantee you are covered which will make the premiums higher anyway as I suffer with even though I'm 55. Mine has covered 44000 miles and I have improved the running dramatically by putting an egr cleaner(Halfords) in my last couple of tanks of fuel. Good luck and keep us informed.
