So, as some of you already know, Im doing the Screwball Rally later in the year.
I'm doing it with my best mate, Colin, some of you have met him. He has Strongbow for blood.
Linky
Basically, the usual sorts of rules apply as to all the similar rallys:
Car for less than £700, many miles...
I've just bought an absolute raft-o-££££e of an S90 to do it, then hopefully a project car afterwards.
Should be an absolute blast, so anyone with a good sense of humour and a little bit crazy is hereby invited to join in! :D

You never know Biff, if anyone else joins in you could tag along.
Could always jump in with me if you like. Or would the company of two Mancs be too much for 5 days?!

Let me know the route, I might just try to join part of it if it passes down by lyon/south of france, where I am most of the year!

Always fancied that myself or the "rust 2 Rome" version, may organise one for a UK tour one year for VS

I've done the 'screwball' twice over the years. The first was in a £650 V70 T5. Managed a GPS confirmed 143mph (still pulling) when a German got in my way and had to slow down :(
Second time I bought a S80 T6 for £600. Only managed 130mph in that, but my pal did 140mph when we swapped drivers (didn't know we were competing at the time!!!)
Was intending on doing it again but its nearly £200 (per person) before you start. Personally I feel its too expensive (by a long way). The organisational skills of the people in charge leaves alot to be desired.
HOWEVER, great people, great crack and really enjoyed both trips. :) Hamering round Europe with about with 60 to 70 fellow car nuts is the dogs.
I'm doing the Le Mans 24hrs this year instead. :)

Its one of the reasons I bought my 850 R which was local and advertised at an insanely low price. Didn't have the money at the time but it was so cheap it qualified for the screwball rules :)
