Two new fronts fitted. 245/45/18 97Y Uniroyal Rainsport 3's. £183 all up. Can't complain.

Really good price that Steve for 245's. How is the beast?

I just put rainsport 3 on mine and come pay day they are being changed! There is no denying the grip is excellent, however the side walls (even on the extra load) are way too soft for my liking. I was really excited to try them as I heard some good stuff about them but honestly it's like driving a jelly now it wobbles all over the place!

Interesting responses. Personally I can't fault the Rainsport 3's. Maybe because I'm running factory size rims and tyres. That said they are fine on the Mrs 98 V70 2.5D as well and that is in comets with oversize tyres . Personal taste I suppose. In aanswer to Emlyn. TBH I have to say that if this was my first Volvo I would never buy another. Thankfully having had plenty before I will put this one down to being a Friday afternoon car.
Any one tried avon tyres the old man has just had some fitted and the c70 is getting g ready for some
I really rate the avon zv5s on my car, they seem to have plenty of grip on them and cut through standing water well. I've only got 180bhp though so i can't really say what they'd be like on a car with some power.
