Hi All, I need to change my Front Strut Mounts and Spring Mounts along with the ARB Links (Front and Back) The Genuine Strut Mount from Volvo is around £105 for the part - The Spring mount and few bolts are around 65 quidish. That means per front corner it will cost me £170 and then my hard work to fit. Has anybody fitted aftermarket? If so, what sort of Ride and life do you get out of them. Also, ARB Links - I've seen some Merle HD Links. What do you guys think to these? Any issues, what else have you guys used? Btw, the car is a 2005 S60 D5 with 84k miles on it. Thanks! Rohit

was that from FRF Volvom always woth a call quote C3 to get a discount. I fitted Lemforder drop links , they look exactly the same as the Volvo one's . The Lemforder brand is good quality.

Had mayle HD ones on the front of mine for a few years now and it's been fine. The car is lowered (weather or not that makes a difference, I dunno)

I've been through a couple of sets of cheap drop links from ECP in the last few years, basically one set per year between MOTs, before doing the sensible thing last year and getting the Meyle HD ones. Prior to the Meyle ones my MOT tester said "those drop links are crap, they'll fail in no time" and sure enough they were knocking away within a couple of months. They really are one of those things where buying the cheap pattern parts is an utter waste of money. And if you shop around for the Meyle HD drop links you can get them at a good price (got mine as a full set of 4 from eBay).

Thanks guys for your comments. I ordered the Meyle HD ones. What about strut mounts? You guys doing genuine or aftermarket?

Always genuine. Unless you want to do it again next year.

Lemforder. Cheaper and top quality. ( I believe some parts are even supplied by Lemforder anyway, just the Volvo label on it) Check their catalog here. https://webcat.zf.com/
