Anyone out there able to do an in depth vehicle check on my daughters new purchase, as it seems to good to be true. She has just agreed to purchase an Audi TT 2.0 tfsi on why the mileage is 16000 on a 4 year ago vehicle, possible but rings alarm bells for me, as are classics can clock more than that annually..???

It's provably only used as a weekend car, we had a 12 year old C70 convertible with less than 40K on the click. My biggest concern would be the engine, the 2L TFSI is the one that suffers from high oil usage owing to premature piston wear, but Audi won't admit there's a problem, and are unwilling to fix them to under warranty.
I'd say it's lots of them that have issue not just the petrols, which I've also heard turbos die on, our new vw was nothing but hassle until they were forced to buy it back from us.
Thanks guys for the replies and it looks like she's dropped the idea and seen the sense in keeping her current car, which incidentally is going better than ever now that the local Stealer has changed the water pump, they must have code checked it and tweaked something, as when came back from another dealer recently after a routine service it was surging on the throttle and using more fuel than it should, we know who will be servicing next time now.
