Interesting data, not surprised at the top and bottom cars!
I'd be interested in seeing why they actually broke down as of course most breakdowns are due to lack of servicing and lots of people now call out RAC etc to change wheels.......

Im guessing the data is based on the warrentys they sell, and amount of claims, as opposed to AA call outs. But yes, i bet most of them could be helped with a bit of servicing. Good news for my s40 though!

C70's like the V70's, S60's etc etc all have common faults, the largest bill on the C70's is ironically the same it costs to get the window regulators fixed which are the most common faults on them, other than that the MAF and Oxy sensors go alot and the electronic throttle module constantly breaks on certain years of cars, however putting the C70 range as a whole into the 97-02 bracket is unfair as some years of the cars only suffer from the dodgy window regulators and nothing else.
Wait for the S40/V50 2.0D's to enter on the chart, we get more of those things dropped back off at the dealer by the AA/RAC than we are selling!

That's also a good feeling seeing as I've just bought my S40 to replace my Rover 414 which currently has it's head gasket in bits.

Well, out of about 35k miles out of my two 15year old+ CRX's...I've only had to do tyres, brakes and a clutch on them...No electrics have failed, nor wheel bearings or anything.
I work with Renault and the amount of recovery's we get is hideous LOL! Espace's are terrible for slave cylinder's and gearboxes haha!
