Whilst carving through the back country lanes of sunny Hertfordshire on Wed morning - trying to avoid the worst of the rush-hour traffic - a very helpful transit van forced me into a rather large pothole. The result: Image The coilovers had covered approx 23k miles & we're going to be changed soon anyhow...... Image Image So as well as the BC coilovers which will be ordered Tuesday I'll be needing to budget for some bonnet repairs :yikes: Being a Volvo I did manage to limp home - 40 miles - with the bonnet holding down the top of the damper! Couldn't get a recovery truck in time to get home for the kids so had to push on - to be fair, the damage had already been done but not a journey I'd like to repeat anytime soon

I'd be livid. Did you take pictures etc to assist a claim?

Can't claim for stupidity - the shocks were well past their best & I knew it. Just finding time with Tim is tricky & I've started a new job which means the car is covering 400 miles a week of half arsed lanes - or was!! I'll get it sorted, just wish it had happened closer to home

Ahh Hertfordshire roads, getting worse by the day )-: Infact, there is a place in Hatfield I refuse to go now, simply because the road in question is killing my motor in terms of wear and tear, how the hell are they allowed to get so bad?
