Picked up my first quick saloon for over a decade a few days ago, a nice V-reg T4 saloon in 332-22 Black/Blue metallic.
Current modifications:
Larger turbo (unsure what kind at the moment)
Bosch 558 greens
Intake
Aftermarket exhaust with sports cat
Lowered
Compomotive 17s in white
Allegedly rebuilt with forged rods at some point.
I've had quite a few performance cars (12s Pulsars, 11s MR2 Turbo, 382@hubs S13, 570bhp 300zx TT), but never a fast Swede for some reason. I really fancied a turbocharged lightweight saloon, and there wasn't really anything else that fits the bill (I've still got a Blobeye Impreza Prodrive wagon in storage I used as a daily for a year or so). I know the engine series fairly well from working with a couple of STs on the dyno and a person I work closely with has done countless "block mods" (shimming) on those models.
Here it is:

Day I bought it. The filter has been swapped for a large Green filter from one of my old Pulsars, the boost controller is gone, the BOV will be following suit ASAP.

My Phase 1 fetish.

I've not had time to get the T4 on the dyno yet, but even at 0.8bar it walked from an S3 with ease and it has covered the 1/4 at 14s & 100mph. So probably around 280bhp. The main thing is to get it mapped properly, as it runs a tad too lean for my liking, albeit with very conservative timing.
Which leads on to the main problem... Mapping the stock ECU. It has been done in the past, but none of my machines can access the S40 EMS2000. When I get chance, I will pull the ECU, pull the EEPROM, compare the file with a stock bin and hopefully be able to make some suitable changes. I think I will be going down the standalone route, however.

Sounds like abit of a beast .you should fit in very well on this forum as there are a lot of modded cars on here .the only problem with the 40 series is mapping these can be a pig and not many peeps do them ether .but from what I have read sounds like you know what you are doing so goodluck .see you at some meets in the future .

Thanks.
Yeah, the Clio is mine as well. Used daily for some time (think I've put 40k miles on it), fully stripped out on coilovers and Michelin PS3 all round. Probably my favourite car of all time, the speed with which it can go round corners is ridiculous.

I'm not sure, I bought it from a guy whose S14 I mapped the other week.
In my brief amount of research into mapping this thing, I came across many threads of yours regarding your Azure Blue Phase 1.5 :D
If you have any links or info on the car, I would be most grateful :B_thumb:

I've got an old R21T as well. Been out of commission for quite some time now, unfortunately.

Here is the car from a few years ago:
http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?48582-Modified-S40-T4-For-Sale&highlight=
Looking back through some previous posts, it appears to be a Phase 1.5 car and was mapped on a disused airfield.

Off to the post office for enough stamps to post Sir my Capri.
Welcome along, Fella.
Like the T4s myself. In two minds to do one myself :)
