Just another quick question, what year did the first twin turbo d5s come out and how much power and torque do they have? Cheers

As far as I know you have 205 and 215bhp t/turbo engines with a 310lb of torque and the 1st one I`ve seen is 2009.Apparently quite juicy for what it is.I`m quite happy with 31mpg out of 2008 530d 235bhp and 33mpg from S60 163 d5 around town.I could see 10mpg less on a run between 163 and 185 d5.Doesn`t look like Volvo done a good job on mpg side with a higher power diesel.

Remap the twinturbo d5 and it's a different animal mate.

I think the 215's came out in 2010. I had my old auto mapped by Shark and that was pulling 238 BHP and 538 Nm while returning 40 mpg. The current manual is polestared giving 235 BHP but only 480 Nm however over the 43000 miles I've done in it it's averaging 44.5 MPG. You went up Pod in the Sharked one.

(overall commute everyday is about 35-40 miles) [QUOTE=Blackdog;803101]I think the 215's came out in 2010. I bet they're still quite expensive then.

(overall commute everyday is about 35-40 miles) Facelift is about mid 2007- quieter engine and improved mpg slightly.Mine is manual I`d say you should see around 45mpg from a manual,525d is slightly better.
