After selling my old 850 i was desperate to get another T5 after a good few years out the game. After a couple of weeks of mooching i came across this little gem!
Shes covered 76k and in the last 4 years has only covered approx 5k as she was owned by a guy in the RAF. So never really drove the thing!
Has a brand new set of avon zv5 tyres all round, which arent too shabby. A full new set of pagid disks and pads all round and a new caliper on the back. All alloys have been refurbed in graphite which i think look the nuts. A new dealer fitted throttle body. A cambelt kit and new water pump. And all electrics work bob on!
Shes as tidy as you like and im looking forward to getting back into a bit of tuning. Not going to go too mad but hopefully new turbo, manifold, 3" exhaust, injectors and a remap. I certainly dont want to go into any styling as i really like the look of her already!
So what do you think?

Cheers bud.
Im going to be hopefully looking for a similar sort of set up yo yours eventually. Could you please remind me of what is needed to fit the 19t on? Dont you need the 3" manifold off the s60r and a 3" downpipe?

I find my manual to be very quick, but also very economical when required, hitting mid 30's on a good run. Large boot, sunroof, fold out rear quarter windows, so all good...............

Basically, the water pipes need rearranging (bending a bit) but other than that, it's a straight swap.
I'd strongly recommend a 3" downpipe to get the most out of it and a s60r or jap manifold will help a little too.

Very nice. I was told saffy was a rare colour. Seems the majority i see are saffy.
I just got one and theres another one down the road from me haha.
Will be watching with interest as those are the same mods im going to be going through.

Yes, I fitted ProSport coilovers, which are adjusted to their lowest setting, problem is, they're very bouncy, and clunky, so just ordered a set of BC coilovers, which will improve the ride no end, and they'll be much quieter. :)

Thanks bud, ive already sourced an s60r manifold and green injectors. Wont i need a 3" angled flange downpipe to fit the turbo anyway? Also would the 3" downpipe connect to the original c70 exhaust from cat back?
Sorry for all the questions lol

You'll already have a 3" angled housing as it's me7.
The downpipe for any p1 me7 will fit the catback.

So would the s60r manifold be any advantage over the standard t5 one? (Thanks for the info by the way)

Yes, it flows better.
Ask away - that's what forums are all about :)

What makes the me7 rip kit different bud?
Post 803623 by M-R-P on 2016-08-01 18:05:13
Nothing on the c70 I believe. Maybe a sensor port.

Midway through doing an exhaust at the moment. Im just not getting the chance to finish it. And im saving for turbo injextors and remap. I didnt know about the s60r manifold. Is it needed for 300+?
Post 803626 by M-R-P on 2016-08-01 18:47:41
I don't have one on mine :)

Cheers. Good to know.

I'll update my thread soon & then you can spend hours learning about how to make an 1999 C70 (not gay gold) go quickly or not (depends on the year).
This was evo 2 with the garrett GTX and S60R mani...
Post 803664 by Wobbly Dave on 2016-08-02 17:01:09
You don't need an S60R manifold to make 300+ but it all adds up. I made 320 with a 19T and mostly stock parts.
Post 803778 by T5Tom on 2016-08-05 07:49:07
Just a quick question lads...
What sized downpipe wouls be fitted to my c70? Would there be much difference in the s60r downpipe and would it be a straight swap?
Thanks
Post 803785 by stribo on 2016-08-05 10:22:33
Your's I believe is 2.5", and a S60R dp won't fit a C70. Look out for a ferrita dp, that's what I have on my C70, Don at Kalmar Union may still be able to get them if you want a new one.
