Hi all,
I just had Windows 10 installed on my tower system but having a quick look around it I can't find any word processing facility.
I only need it to write a few occasional reports so can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable tool without breaking the bank.
Cheers

WordPad? Should be built in W10.
Otherwise any open source office program such as Open Office, Libre Office and there are others too.
Alternatively, if your company subscribed to the MS HUP(home use program), then you can get the latest MS Office for very cheap price. AFAIK ~30€.

As above, though I find Libre Office better than Open Office

I've never tried Libre Office will give it a go. A few years ago the uni I went to used to stick the student version of MS Office on any laptop you'd bring to them but that has all stopped now...& recently I needed spreadsheet type software to read the CSV files from Romraider so tried Open Office

Had the same issues with new Laptop and Windows 10, refused to pay the rip-off MS Office subscriptions - So I'm another one that votes for Libre Office, seems to have slightly better MS compatibility than Open Office.

My understanding is that the Libre Office guys were a spin-off from the same Open Office guys, and they went on to spend a bit more time on increasing compatibility and stability.
