Hi all, as per title I'm new to forum, own a T5 and live in Durham :biggrin:
I had been looking for a modern classic for several months and narrowed the choice down to the S60 T5 or a 2.5 X type Jag.
Basically I wanted a family size car that is both powerful and well specced, with the potential of becoming a classic in years to come.
Anyway got this T5 and I'm well happy with it, 116k on the clock with plenty of stamps in the book including a cam belt change around 20k miles ago.
I took a risk as the MOT was short on it but the seller seemed trustworthy and told me everything that likely needed doing to pass.
Got it through the test with my wallet around £350 lighter and really enjoying the car so far :)
No plans for any mods just yet as I want to get the car mint before I start tinkering with the engine.
Anyway sorry for the waffling on, the site looks great and at some point soon I'll be picking your brains for info on how to get the best out of the car :)

A good choice, better still if you have the facelifted post '05 car with 2.4l engine.... the last and best of Volvo's 5 pot turbos.
You can get 330 bhp from it with a simple software upgrade....

Gave the car a good wash yesterday which threw up a few odd marks on the bodywork I wasn't aware of.
Got a mate who does bodywork so will be asking him to get all that sorted :)

Yeah certainly seems so :)
Are there meets of any description that happen up here at all?
Would be great to get opinions and ideas from others, and maybe a spot of code reading if anyone has Dice/Vida ;)
