My old girl usually starts in SECONDS on the button, as they say. But for 2 days now she needs turning over for 20-30 seconds before firing? There are no warning lights on or advisories? Filled her up 2 days ago and she hasnt moved. Her last run was back from Devon to Reading faultlessly cruising smoothly at motorway speeds. Any clues please

Crankshaft sensor. Which car? C70 or P26? EML won't come on, but I bet, If you plug in a diagnostics tool, you'll have a code for CS. Are you able to check live readings with any diagnostics? If so, look for engine speed signal - you should see 200-300rpm on crank.

Indeed, that will give you those symptoms. It will also store immobiliser fault codes in the CEM!

You could see if there's any fault codes by checking the DIM, using the fog light switch/reset button.
