RWYB Drag race weekend 30th Sept/1st Oct

Hi guys and gals, time for another trip to Shakespeare County Raceway (CV37 8LL), I realise that for some, Trax is also that weekend so I plan to be there all weekend, so those going to Trax but fancy this too can get a few runs in on the Saturday. Costs here are considerably cheaper than other places, gate admission is £12 (day) £22 (weekend), Race is £25 (day) £40 weekend. Admission in advance is even cheaper but that is a bit of a gamble with the british weather though. For those interested and fancy a go (and for those few out there that forget easily) Rwyb info is available here....https://www.shakespearecountyraceway.co.uk/rwyb.asp ...but in essence it really only boils down to Driving Licence, Crash Helmet, Clothing that must cover arms and legs, Gloves are only required if open topped, Car must be able to pass simple scrutineering checks (secure battery, no dropping fluids and nothing falling off the car basically), I look forward to seeing you all and hopefully some great Volvo racing action. Shaping up to be a great weekend, should have a number of Volvo's running both days and possibly Claymore might even beat his personal best time if we're really lucky

must admit i've already got a ticket for Trax, but with all the chav's & queuing to get it have been having second thought. Plus could mean Avon is going to be quiet if everyone is at Silverstone

Oh does that mean we have to start a list.....not been one of those on here for a bit.....:hidesbehi and even better new is I've swapped my Friday night shift so hope to be there for Friday night and hopefully front of the queue Saturday morning. Gutted just realised I've double booked for this, sadly I won't be flying back till the 1st. However I've double marked the 28/29 Oct last of the season so I'll definitely be there for the Halloween burn up! Will try pop to any in-between too.

Well what a weekend with a great turn out, plenty of volvo track action and a great social evening or two. I'd like to thank all that attended to make it such a great event where records were broken and PB's smashed much to my delight. It was also a pleasure to finally meet Tim Williams and have him present when my 15g powered car smashed it's way into the low 13's with a 13.4 second run @104.3 mph terminal PB and then backed up with further 13's runs, pics and vids uploading at present and will be here soon

I could possibly sqeeze a bit more with 4.4ecu mapping and possibly a larger maf......nice to hear from you though, pity you weren't there to see it and you'd have loved the black cossie that was running.

Was a cracking weekend. Epic night on the lash on Saturday, finishing with myself and Adrian still going at 5 on Sunday morning :lol: Followed by Sunday funday. Was an honour to have my arse handed to me on a plate by Adrian on his record breaking run. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I collected my ticket afterwards! Well done Matey :)
