As some if the members here will know by now and many may not, of the sad news that John Ronnie (aka Nosh to all in the Volvo world) has unfortunately been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Nosh has been a long time Volvo nut and member of vpc, has is also a founding member of Volvotuning.net, which broke the sad news a few days back and started a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for care and other costs that John and Sam will be incurring in these though times ahead of them. I'd just like to personally show my support for Nosh on here and make other members aware of the efforts of VT on their Facebook pages and the Justgiving page that has been setup and is currently collecting on John and Sams behalf.
It is very hard to find suitable words to say about Nosh's situation, but I would like to wish him a comfortable and supportive journey though the weeks/months ahead and make members here, that wish to donate, aware of the Justgiving page, a link to is posted below. I also like to thank all that have chipped in so far and thanks to all that take the time to read this and donate to the cause, it will be very much appreciated.

Absolutely devastated hearing the news, I consider Nosh to be one of my only true friends and I'm simply in bits learning of his illness.
I visited Nosh & Sam in hospital a few nights ago, we shared a laugh, took the pi$$ a little and allowed the odd tear to flow. Nosh is one of the nicest people you could ever meet....I'm privileged to be his friend.

He's a top bloke, it's tragic that this sort of thing always happens to the good people.

I don't get on FB much (it's not the same as a proper forum) but after recent dablings I'd heard the very sad news.
I'd never had the privilege of meeting Nosh but from what I've heard, he certainly seems to be a top bloke!
This is very sad news indeed and I sincerely hope Nosh and his families journey over the coming months are as happy as can be dispite the horrible circumstances. :(
Thanks for posting Mole.

I'd love to think that mate, but from what we have heard, that will be sadly short of a miracle. I can't see it happening unfortunately, but nobody knows..? His V50 could make massive figures on the rollers, and many are waiting on the results, rollers would be good, but really strip is the to prove of how far Nosh has brought his V50. Real just gutted that john may not get to prove his Volvo awesomeness......well how do you say it ...you finally have the power and you get a kick in the privates like that, just as you were getting somewhere........but we must all push on, sad as that is, but we will not forget those that go before us and we will not forget any volvo nutcases who dare to prove their mechanical metal with there long term projects..... Volvo for life.......and beyond as we all know

As some of you may already know and has been posted on here, that Nosh (John Ronnie) has past following a short, but unfortunately terminal illness. I'd just like to let people know on here that his funeral will be held on the 9th of May at 4.00pm at Gernoside Crematorium Sheffield. VT are organising a Volvo cavalcade to follow Nosh from the Chippy to the Crematorium and Volvo reception for him as he arrives, full details on the Volvotuning.net facebook page, please contact Max Millsy if your able to attend with your Volvo and which option you'd prefer. It will be a sad day for sure, but will be lifted a little by a volvo meet-up, which I'm sure Nosh would be made up about....looking forward to seeing you there....thanks
