Hi to all!
I'm Wayne and here because I recently purchased a XC90 d5 and thought it be best to find a suitable forum to join hence me being here! This car is for my wife's work as she is a child minder and the 7 seats, safety features tick all the boxes as well as hopefully the volvo reputation for reliability! Hoping to find new friends with obviously the same interest (volvos...) I like to work on my cars/vans myself as have had too many bad experiences with garages.

Welcome along, I also have an xc90 in my collection, love driving mine as they are great cars, that love munching up miles.

I Can't wait to iron out a few engine creases like engine service code 039....... So far I've taken off the EGR valve and breather pipe that where completely blocked cleaned them up! Then taken turbo off what a mission...... Stripped and cleaned that as vanes was caked in crud reinstalled it things work better but still get the code and limp mode. Blocked off the engine mount lines which still did the code so don't think they are leaking just waiting on turbo boost solenoid to come so can try that and also a vaccum tester to see if turbo actuator faulty!
