Hello everyone, Im very new here,From Sunny Blackburn, Lancs .. Iv been looking for a good forum for a bit of help and advice and maybe a dash of banter for a while and iv been pointed in this direction :)
Iv got a C30 D5 which iv owned for 12 months or so which I love to bits ( My first Volvo ).
Iv just commited to buy a V50 D3, its a lovely car which needs a little love, it was cheap as chips but does come with some issues which I need sorting before it can go on the road, hopefully it will make a good motorway cruiser for the mrs when its done.

How do you find the D3's engine?
Whats up with it?
Looked hard for a D3 for months and eventually gave up and got a D5. The cylinder noise is just the best! Does the D3 sound similar to the D5?

Hello bud, iv only drove it round the block before buying it, I cant judge to much about it as yet as the Turbo is under boosting untill it hits 3k and its got an intermittant starting fault, its been stood in a mates yard for 6 months untouched so iv gambled at taking it on. I got it for £1200 so im not grumbling for a 12 plate motor. I just hope I can get it all sorted for a few hundred quids then iv won :)

Thanks everyone :) ... Iv spotted ReadView garage in Accrington have been mentioned a few times some decent reviews, they mention this forum on there website too, I might give them a shout being local, see if they can sort the V50

Bargain... Hopefully a simple fix. Oddly enough went I was hunting for a D3 there seemed to be quite a few out there with turbo issues.
