After swapping my p1 V70 R in April'18 for a Mini for the Mrs, I have missed the V70 experience lots.
Just bought a p2 V70 D5(185) S with full leather etc. Will have her by the end of the week and I can't wait.
Also still have my C70 T5 which I've now owned for some 7.5 years, so back to 2 Volvos after a bad experience with Saab's again...….turbo packing in on my 03 9-3ss Aero last week so that has gone.

Thanks Adrian. I was looking for an SE minimum but this seems a decent spec for an S. It's a Nov'2006 D5 with the indicators built into the door mirrors.

Still nice, but as you said an SE would have been nice, spec is everything on these cars, I loved our v50 SE LUX, had almost everything you could wish for on it and our current xc90 ocean race is pretty good too.

The air con seemed to work as that is a major thing for me with the dogs in the warmer weather. My Barjo dog cage can be used again now too, so that the dogs are contained so less fur messing the car up. I can also carry so much foam in one of these, so I really have missed this size of car for over 18 months.
I don't think that the seats were heated and it hasn't got reversing sensors, but I don't think that these are too bad for reversing anyway as the windows are fairly deep.
Nice colour though and darker than normal silver, but I don't know what the colour name is yet. Also cheaper than the Alfa on insurance which was a nice surprise.

BTW Adrian, is Gul still alive?
Post 819236 by MoleT-5R on 2019-11-11 16:31:09
Gul is a my daily when wifey has the xc90, she's had a bit of love lately and running sweet as, but she does want for 2 new front wings now as they are rotten and not going to last much longer

Awesome. I still have pics of her and think that I would like another...……...but prices now make that more than unlikely!!

I think I have Gul insured for £5500 currently and that will be hiked a fair bit once shes had new wings and paintwork done, it would be really difficult to find another that I could afford tbh. I have some nice bits to add to her over winter that will release a few more horses, not that she really needs it, but I have most of the parts here and I do fancy making her a 3" downpipe, which can then run into the old Jetex/Bsr cat back 2.5" rear system that use to be on Olive.

Thanks Dave!!
I have made the pledge again that I will never be without a big Volvo estate car in my life. I now have the C70 T5, V70 D5 and an og 9-3 Aero vert. When the Saab dies, I plan a C70 vert which I've never had before...………...

I really hope that happens Adrian, and I would love to seeing the result. A bookshop near me quoted approx. £2.5k for a full respray.

Yeah it was my daily for a while, the paint on the bumpers is cracking and there are a couple of rust patches on the passenger side that need doing plus some small bits of lacquer delamination. It all starts to add up :(

Used the car for 2 trips from Liverpool down to Cradley Heath and back, absolutely love the car and I have so missed everything about the V70.
Look forward to many, many more miles in her.

Glad your enjoying being back in a Volvo estate, you'll cram a fair bit of foam into on of those and they have some of the comfiest seats Volvo have ever made IMHO

Welcome to P2 ownership. :D
Post 819473 by kennyt5 on 2020-01-16 22:22:40
I got a p2 just over a week ago 2.4D SE 07 plate. Not on the road yet, but at the garage for it's M.O.T. Got for a daily drive if its passes. Dint in passenger door and some matty paint, but great condition interior. If it fails spring/summer project ?
To cheap to say no to when offered it (my excuse).

Thanks, but my 3rd p2. Had a 2002 V70 SE 2.4(170) auto, a 2006 V70 2.4D SE manual and then went back to p1's in 2012 until getting this p2!!
