AVOID THIS CAR!! https://www.burrowsmintcars.co.uk/used_car/volvo-v60-lt65nzy-sheffield-south-yorkshire/ I nearly bought this car today but then found out after a bit of digging / MOT history that one of the front shocks was damaged/seized. In fact it was the support bearing plate that had seized solid. So, what did the garage do to repair it, I asked?! They removed said shock. Rang Volvo and got quoted £1400 for a new one (despite the fact the support bearing can be repaired quite cheaply), decided that was too expensive for them to get it through an MOT, so they removed all 4 Ohlins adjustable shocks and replaced them with standard Gas shocks from a V60 T6. :slap: They then have the front to try and sell it to prospective buyers as a V60 Polestar, without disclosing the fact they've fitted incorrect shocks. I also noticed that they have removed any mention of 'Ohlins adjustable dampers' from the description - which, I'm sure, would have been in the standard script! A full set of shocks will cost around £5600 + fitting. They wouldn't move on the price either, despite them being cagey when I asked about it a few days ago.....stating, "we've spend a lot of money on the car, getting it ready for sale"! AVOID THIS CAR!! I was gutted. Absolute idiots!
