Hi , I am an old Volvo forum member in volvospeed and ipdforums.I own 2004 V70 2.0T which is now 247.000km.I have a faulty auto gearbox and with the help of these volvo forums I am still using it in the last 100.000km with no big problems.Thanks

What exactly is the fault with the gearbox, or don't you know?

Thank you :) As I learned from these forums the gearbox in our cars P2 V70 between 2000-2004 are prone to failing so when I got the car the owner is having problems like knocking and flares.After I got the car I changed the fluid to Mobil 3309 and make the B4 cover upgrade , make the adaptation and most importantly added a trans cooler and a filter.Now after 100.000km it is still going strong.We will see how long it can last :)

If you've done the above and driven 100k since, then the likely hood is the trans oil was heavily contaminated and not able to cool the box adequately. After 100k you definitely fixed the issue.
