850 t5 estate

Hello all, I have just brought a white t5 estate on an n plate (ex police). Just a few small problems but nothing that can't be resolved. Not very much to complian about having brought the car for 800 squid!!!! Any tech help would be very much appriciated. many thanks Billy

Hello again, The abs light is on constantly and abs not functioning. back box is rotten (trying to find a tuned back box), seam between wings and doors on either side has scuff/contact so needs new wings and paint. Also i cannot find any wires for stero but is ex police so will they have been chopped? many thanks lads Billy

Welcome to the forum! Your abs is a common fault on the 850's - expensive to get it resolved by Volvo but Wobbly Dave (a member here) repairs them for a much smaller fee. It might be worth talking to Salvo (Volvo Salvage specialists) re the back box if you want a cheap replacement (with 10% discount for forum members) or try one of the 2 Dealers we have on board (Marshalls and Speeds) who will both be able to supply you with a new box for a nice discount ;) (have a look in the members discount section for details) Once you get her up to scratch wil you be modifying? x

yeh i have been told it's a common fault but din't really know where to start. when it's up to scratch i will be tastefully modding (trying to find a sports back box) any ideas???? as to the force it's from i have no idea. i will go to salvo maybe tomorrow as they are just down the road from me. many thanks billy
