I've just found out that my old 850 T5 CD Estate was written off only about 2 weeks after the new owner bought it from me! I was gutted by the fact we had to sell her in the first place but to find that shes now got a halo firmly planted around her sunroof makes me want to cry :cry:
I can only imagine what this guys going through at the moment tho as from what i've heard, his insurance wont cough and hes now got a stuffed 850 sitting on his drive... Not sure if he ever made it to the forum but I did let him know about this place?
She had only done 90k when she left us and apart from the odd carpark scratch was immaculate (after my super haribo clean out when we got her anyway :wink: ), if your reading this mate I hope you get something sorted soon!

I'm always saddened by the demise of a T5 but I'm amazed at the fact they actually get written off, I mean they're like tanks! I suspect the majority are economically not viable and become ebay fodder.
The upside is people walk away in one piece, eh wobbly?!

From what I hear it was a front end jobbie and by all accounts doesnt look to bad (to an untrained eye anyway).... the other car was flattened (vectra i think)!!! Just depends how far the damage has gone really, if the engines moved and the mounts are fudged then Its an understandable writeoff. One hell of a solid engine and gearbox for someone tho possibly?
