Have been looking for a T5 or R and found one on pistonheads.com 850R,AUTO, 96N,121k with full SH.£3400 Thought i would get an insurance quote so tried confused.com.They don't recognise the T5.All models were GLT or SE. Tried Morethan and got a quote for £470 fully comp. :B_steerin That was good i thought to myself!!!!!! Ben.

T5s still have a GLT/SE etc tag, ours is an S if I remember rightly, if you put the right engine size in and doors, it should come up with the options. It'll say something like Volvo 850 T5 GLT etc. Just checked still works ok for me. (but if you put the reg number in of ours it comes up as an R, and it isn't :wtf: ) Might just not like you :haha: If it is standard try www.screentrade.co.uk

All 850 T5s are 2.3 litres.

The engine size you need to put in is 2319cc and then it'll recognise that's it the T5 :B_thumb:

I just renewed, tried confused and while it came back with some good quotes, the excesses were a bit high. I thought they were pretty good, especially as they tell you who underwrites the quotes....allows for a smidge of negotiation eh lol. Me, stayed with esure..bargain..excellent service too..but then I am 40!! :)

Also remember that the R is group 17 insurance not 16 like the T5 so its always going to be a little higher than a T5! x

Usually hate .com sites for shopping (even tho our business is internet based!) and just insured the V70R awd through confused.com. The site was easy to use (excess' are a little high) but ended up with the RAC at £244! Result :)

I tried confused.com for my old car (1993 Vauxhall Astra Gsi 2.0 16v), and after entering the registration in, it searched for quotes for a Astra Gsi 8v, but they didnt even make an 8v! But I got there in the end, just a technical glitch, and found admiral/adrian flux to be on a par for the cheapest. Joe :)

Going on the TV ad alone, avoid them! Shifty bloke or what.

Yep i'll agree with that. What an annoying twat.I wonder if you ran him over in your T5 you would get a discount??!!!!!!!!!!.They wouldn't have to pay his fee.
They wouldn't have to pay his fee.
No advertising agency in this land should willingly put that guy infront of a camera intentionally. Owner/significant stakeholder is my bet.
