What is the maximum mileage reccomended for a standard engine before giving it the RICA treatment. My '01 V70 T5 has 95K on the clock, and I keep getting this nagging urge to go for the upgrade. I manage to talk myself out of it for a week or so, and then the urge comes back stronger.
Would it be ok, or is it too late. I do around 20k miles per year.

hi mate, how the car has been looked after doing the miles is more important than how many miles it has done.
as you are no doubt aware, these motors are capable of 200k if cared for correctly so give in to the urge, you know you wanna "rica".

Mines on 158500 I had it RICAd had 128k and she still uses no or very little oil between 5k services, Im going stage 2 shortly and intend to keep the car for a long time. I do around 20 k a year I always use a quality oil and get my independent volvo person to service it every 5k.
Since owning my car the emmisions have got lower after rica and optimax.
Tell yourself to get it done
