My RICA

Well after some initial problems we've finally got my car RICA'd. Graph below: So 282bhp **at the wheels**..... 443nM tourque... which is around 326.7lb/ft which I think is quite decent. She's only boosting to 1.24 - when I figure out why (might be the powerflow catback system) I may ask Adam for some more of his time. Thanks to Adam and Hamish for entertaining me. Green with envy mate. I'm looking forward to my own "My RICA" thread. Just spent a RICA's worth of dosh on ferry tickets. We're off to France to do the racing thing soon. :) Still, that's the RICA on the backburner again. :(

DON'T YOU BLOODY DARE !!! Brother Viking gave me a demo at the Manchester meet. Which started this whole "I want a RICA remap" thing. If I have a go in another one it'll make things worse and bank loans will get involved!!!

Sorry to misuse this thread (only slightly :) ) but can anyone advise me if the visit to VT on the 29th is still goin ahead as I'm very interested in getting my T5 on the rollers and then...who knows what might happen? This RICA thing looks all too interestin to not learn more about + of course I would like to meet some of the ppl I've conversed with here on the site since joining, u probably don't wanna meet me tho...LOL! I have sent a message to Nat@chiptuning? Unfortunatley no reply as yet? By the way Andrew...I've seen far worse power/torque graphs in the past that have still managed to produce a great car to drive on the road so having graphs like urs there I can only imagine how well the car drives and delivers it's power, very nice indeed :B_steerin :B_steerin :B_steerin

Nat I feel sorry for you chuck. Andrew - good torque band all above 400 from 3500 to 5000 - impressive output. Bit of a micro dip at ~3700? I am sure she pulls like a train on steroids!!

I am sure she pulls like a train on steroids!![/QUOTE] Yeah unfrotunatly I didn't have time to let Adam keep tweaking (he's such a perfectionist) as I had to get back (2.5-3hrs drive) but I plan once I make a few minor tweaks to the car to go and spend some more pennies with him for a day and see if we can his 290bhp and smooth some of the dips out a little more.

19T can safely handle 1.3bar. Would like to see the bhp head into the low 290s and torque up maybe another 5nM at least? :) When I got some more dosh and more importnatly time I'll go back and see the doctor to aim for a bit more and smooth the curve out a bit more.

Not too much cos you don't want funny shaped rods, but there is certainly more to be got out of that one! I set the boost at 1.24 bar because that was enough to produce 440 nm of torque, ie there was no need to run anymore boost in the mid range. But we just need to squeeze out a little more at the higher rpm. Got a few other ideas for next time too :) Adam.
